September 10, 2008: The Continental Automated Buildings Association (CABA) today announced the appointment of an executive from BAE Systems to its Board of Directors. CABA is a trade association that promotes advanced technologies for integrated systems and the automation of homes and buildings.
Steve Teubner, Director and General Manager of BAE Systems Information Technologies NextGen Facilities™ Program. He succeeds Lari Anderson, who was the first executive from BAE Systems to represent the company on CABA's Board. "We are pleased to welcome Steve Teubner to our Board of Directors," said Ronald J. Zimmer, CABA President & CEO. "He is a highly experienced executive who has significant knowledge of the integrated systems in the intelligent building space. In his current role, Teubner is responsible for the overall direction of BAE System's intelligent building capabilities. His team is focused on the overall vision, strategy and execution of BAE Systems' intelligent buildings solution offerings, synthesizing BAE Systems' extensive experience in information technology, facilities management and complex system integration. Prior to leading BAE Systems' intelligent buildings efforts, Teubner was with Deloitte Consulting's corporate real estate practice where he advised Fortune 100 clients on real estate and workplace technology. He has also held positions with the GSA's Public Building Services group as well as serving as president of a boutique technology-consulting firm. Teubner holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology, a master's degree in Urban Planning, and an MBA from the University of Illinois.
